2025 Meet Information
Swim meets take place on Tuesday evenings.
The first meet is a Time Trial meet, which means we do not have an opponent. The results from the time trial meet will determine which swimmers get to compete from a scoring position at the first meet. This meet is also called “The Blue/Green Meet”. This year, there will be a family relay event during the Blue/Green Meet!
After The Blue/Green Meet, we have six dual meets. Three of the meets are at our pool (home) and three of them are at other pools (away).
- TIME TRIALS | 4:30 PM arrival | 5:00 PM warm-ups | 6:00 Competition
- HOME MEETS | 4:30 PM arrival | 5:00 PM warm-ups | 6:00 Competition
- AWAY MEETS | 4:45 PM arrival | 5:30 PM warm-ups | 6:00 Competition
Upon arrival, swimmers should report immediately to the “Number Writer”. This volunteer will put a three or four-digit number on your child’s arm. Please do not put sunscreen on your child between their shoulder and elbow; it will block the sharpie. During a race, this number will serve like a jersey number does in other sports.
The order of events is as follows:
Events progress from the youngest age group to the oldest. Boys compete before the girls in each event. As mentioned in the Swim Team Overview, swimmers in the 6 & Under age group do not compete in Butterfly.
Medley Relays | Freestyle | Backstroke | Breaststroke | Butterfly | Free Relays
Weather permitting, there may be a parent and coaches' relay at the conclusion of the Breaststroke.
Swim meets can conclude anywhere between 9:30 PM and 10:30 PM depending on the size of our opponent’s team. Swimmers that leave before the conclusion of the meet are required to check out with the head coach before they leave.
