Hello Piranha Families!

Reading Breanne's email earlier today, it's hard to believe that we only have two more weeks in the season!  Let's make them count and maximize the fun for all!

I wanted to call out, as a reminder for many, and as information for our newer swimmers, a few traditions that we do each year at the last home meet of the season at Prestonwood. Please take a moment to read through them, and act on them as best you can!

1. Parent Tunnel - After warmups at our last home meet (July 14), all Prestonwood swimmers will gather at the snack bar with the coaches to walk to the pool through a tunnel built by the parents. This is our chance to get loud and cheer on our swimmers before the meet! If you're new to the Piranhas this year, you will quickly catch on to the flow of the tunnel, and the biggest ask is to cheer LOUDLY for all of our swimmers!

2. Pie a coach in the face - when you enter the pool area on July 14, you will see a table set up where we will be selling raffle tickets to allow four lucky swimmers to pie each of our four (4) coaches in the face at the conclusion of the meet. PLEASE BRING CASH to purchase the raffle tickets, and all proceeds will go to support the great spirit activities you've seen all season long for our swim team! Note - this won't happen until after the meet concludes and the pool deck is put back in order, so for our youngest swimmers, this could be a later night than normal meets.

3. 50/50 Raffle -  During the meet on July 14, volunteers will be walking around selling raffle tickets for our 50/50. This is exactly what you think it is. PLEASE BRING CASH, and near the conclusion of the breaststroke, we will draw one winning ticket. The lucky winner gets 50% of all money collected, with the balance going to the Swim Team!

4. Coaches Fund - at the end of each season, we provide a cash bonus (gift card) to all of our coaches in appreciation of all of their hard work throughout the season! I will consolidate the donations from all families, and this can be sent via Venmo (@Mark-Fortuniewicz) or PayPal ([email protected]). PLEASE be sure to have this completed by Sunday, July 12 so that I can secure the appropriate gift cards in time for the banquet.
