GOOOOODDDDD EVENING PRESTONWOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Does that sound like the start of summer?!?)

The start of the 2025 Prestonwood Piranhas Summer Swim Season is nearly here, and we are so excited for another summer of fast swims, smiles and Prestonwood spirit!!!

This season can't be successful without you - our Piranha Parents! Lots more information will be heading your way soon - but in the meantime, we wanted to pass along a few updates and requests for help to make this the best summer EVER for our swimmers.

Volunteering Requirements:

• Just like last year, each family will be required to volunteer for at least 3 volunteer slots.
• Unlike last year, we will have the volunteer sign-up open 1 week before each meet. We hope this avoids any stress of signing up now and then later needing to change due to vacations, schedule changes, etc. It will also help us make sure we have enough people for each meet for timing, kid-pushing, set-up and other "day of" responsibilities. If you are coming to the meet, we are always looking for extra hands to help out so please consider volunteering for each meet when we release the sign-up.
• Bummed about this change? Want to sign-up now for the whole summer? There are a few Key Volunteer Roles that we need throughout the summer and we would love to assign those to you now! If you are interested in being a Stroke and Turn Judge, Clerk of Course, Order of Finish, Ribbon Coordinator or the Spirit Coordinator (think CaryCity Candyland) - we would love to hear from you. We can get you set up and certified (in the case of the S&T judge) and these roles count for all of your volunteer commitments as they do entail some extra Piranha Parent Pride.

New this Season:

• We plan to have a Parent Swim Kick-Off Social. We are still working to confirm the date, but we would love to meet new and old Piranha Families, answer any questions you may have and get feedback on how we can make this summer spectacular. Key Dates:

• Date TBD - Parent Summer Swim Kick-Off at the Club
• Monday May 19th - Afternoon Practices begin for 9 and Ups
• Wednesday May 28th - Afternoon Practices begin for 8 and Unders
• Tuesday June 3rd - BLUE GREEN MEET at Prestonwood!!!!
• Saturday July 12th - CARY CITY CHAMPIONSHIP MEET
• Thursday July 17th - Prestonwood Piranha End of Season Banquet
