Swim Team - WEEKS 5 & 6

Good morning, Piranhas!

We had a great first meet (despite the score). Having to swim the reigning league champions as our first Division 1 meet is a difficult "welcome" to the top division. However, swimming strong opponents often results in a great meet for everyone. We did not disappoint in our performances... we had 154 best times!!!

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES: All our swimmers did a fantastic job, but each week I want to highlight a few notable performances...

  • THEO WHITSON - this mighty 6 & Under competed in two of the 8 & Under Relays, he even swam the fly leg in the medley. He was AMAZING!
  • MARIELLE CONLON -  she dropped over 12 seconds of time collectively from her breaststroke and butterfly race!
  • VINCENT BEHAN - this was his first competitive meet and he crushed it!
  • KATELYN CAMPLIN - moved up to a very competitive age group this season and proceeded to drop nearly 6 seconds collectively from her backstroke and butterfly events!

T-SHIRT UPDATE: All t-shirts that were ordered during registration are labeled by family and available for pick up at the front desk at the pool!

Make sure to Indicate Availability for University Club Meet (6/20) - This is a HOME meet! I have now opened the system to allow your swimmer to select the events they would like to swim. They may choose a MAXIMUM of 3 individual events. If you select 4, I will make the choice of which event to remove.

It is very important that you indicate accurate attendance plans. The efficiency of the meet and accuracy of the timing is significantly effected by no shows or by swimmers attending that we are not expecting to.
