Swim Team - WEEKS 4 & 5
Good afternoon! There is a lot of information that I need everyone to read through. Please read until the schedules, then you can just save for reference.
THANK YOU ALL for your help and support of the Blue & Green (Time Trials) Meet! We successfully got our new automatic timing system up and running. Swimmers did a great job showing off all their hard work so far this summer.
PARENTAL SUPPORT NEEDED: while I am very excited to have the swimmers stay in a team area, the way that the 12 & unders utilized that time in the grass space ended up being more dangerous than team building. I will be making adjustments to where swimmers sit (closer to the coaches) and adding some coach supervision BUT I do need support from all parents. If you notice swimmers playing in unsafe ways (too aggressive/physical or unkind to others), please say something. Or please come let me know. Additionally, many swimmers were smashing cups into the grass, burying towels in the mud and leaving it all behind to be cleaned up by others. Please, encourage your own swimmers to be respectful of the pool, the community and our team when they are at meets.
T-SHIRT UPDATE: All t-shirts that were ordered during registration are labeled by family and available for pick up at the front desk at the pool!
Make sure to Indicate Availability for Next Meet - This is an AWAY meet at SEVEN OAKS, about a 30 minute drive from Prestonwood. The good news is that it is a 10 lane pool and that should help with the overall length of the evening. It is very important that you indicate accurate attendance plans. The efficiency of the meet and accuracy of the timing is significantly effected by no shows or by swimmers attending that we are not expecting to.
